Super blend rolls!

A peak at some recent prints I've been working on the past couple weeks.
And a peak at the process too.

I think I pretty much love them.

I've done three different color combinations/ blends so far. Then began making collages, piecing the prints together.

More to come!

Tamarindos Unite!

I just got back from the Tamarind Institute's 50th anniversary symposium and birthday bash held on Sept 10-12, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM.

Tamarind was founded on the basis that the death of lithography as a fine art medium was eminent. The founders sought to train printers in the technical aspects of litho to be able to collaborate with artists and enhance the popularity of the medium among galleries and collectors.

Here I was in the presence of master printers from all over the globe all gathered here to reunite and connect with one another.
It was reassuring that lithography is still alive and the tradition of hand printing is still valued world wide by artists of all trades.

Check out some links to articles written about the Symposium.
